What is Full Coverage? There is no such thing as "full coverage" on insurance.  Many people refer to this when they want both liability and protection for their car.  But all insurance has limits.  If you look at your current policy you will see liability limits and property damage limits.  Do you know what these mean?
What Do These Limits Mean? Limits mean this is the most that your insurance company will pay.  If your liability limits show 20/40 or $20,000/$40,000 it means you have the minimum required by the state of Illinois.  If you are at fault in an accident you are responsible for paying their doctor, hospital, rehabilitation, and lost wages.  You could also be sued.  With this coverage the most your insurance company would pay is $20,000 for one person and $40,000 total for all hurt.  The balance is your responsibility and can be taken from your paycheck every week.  Filing bankruptcy will not get you out of paying this.  Review your policy and see if you have enough coverage.
Deductibles Deductibles are the amout of damage that happens to your car that you are willing to assume for collision and comprehensive damages.  Collision coverage is if you damage your car in a accident.  Comprehensive covers damages such as vandalism and theft.
Farmers Has Unique Coverages & Discounts Farmers Auto Insurace has features and discounts that other companies don't have. Farmers will pay you $50 per day while your car is in the body shop.  You don't even have to rent another car.  This "loss of use" option pays you for your inconvenience. Towing and road service pays what is resonable and necessary.  There are no limits like other companies. Farmers offers discounts for good driving, mulit-car, and auto/home/life.  You can save 15% if you are a college graduate and a member of your alumni association or one of several professions.  You can also save 10% by paying via EFT and save even further with power deductibles. Young drivers save by getting good grades and participating in the Y.E.S. program.
